“I am a single dad who moved into the Cortez Hill Family Center with my 12-year-old son. At the time I entered the program, it was difficult for me to continue working due to my deteriorating health. The YWCA helped me get the proper medical treatment and I was able to maintain my employment and continue attending school. The Cortez Hill Family Center is a wonderful program that doesn’t just provide a handout, but is a true support system for those in need.â€
