About this program
Family Shelter works with families on a short-term basis. Families in crisis are offered transitional housing for a 7 to 30 day temporary stay. Family Shelter has 17 “family†rooms where most include a queen or double bed in addition to one or more bunk beds. We also have cribs or pack n plays for infants and toddlers. The Family Shelter is one of the few facilities in Yakima that accepts women with male children up to age 18.Â
