About this program
At United Caring Shelters, we have a two year Transitional Housing Program designed for those who are highly motivated to leave homelessness behind and return to independent living in the community. Utilizing 21 studio apartments on the third and fourth floors of our facility, we provide a residential setting with intensive Case Management, support and encouragement. Each apartment has a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living area. Each program participant is required to be employed and the rent is based on his income. The rent may be subsidized with HUD Section 8 Project based vouchers through the Evansville Housing Authority.
