Covenant House Pennsylvania - Rights Of Passage Apartment Living (for Young Adults)

Philadelphia, PA 19144

About this program

The Rights of Passage Program (ROP) is a Transitional Housing program for youth 18 through 21. Located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, this facility houses 20 youth, split between 10 apartments. This program can be 18 months in length. All ROP youth were first residents of our Crisis Center and maintained or found employment while there. After an application process, those youth selected from our Crisis Center graduate to the ROP program. It is the arena in which youth begin to develop the skills which will truly help them become, and remain, self-sufficient. Youth are offered extensive life skills training (money management, food preparation and storage, job vs. career, rent vs. mortgage, cleaning skills, etc.) and other skills which promote independence.
